Allison Trexler comes to the firm with eight years of legislative experience serving both the Senate and the House of Representatives.  In her most recent role as lead policy advisor to Subcommittee on Energy and Power Chairman Ed Whitfield (R-KY), Allison was responsible for advising and preparing the Chairman on all matters under the Subcommittee’s jurisdiction, including national energy policy, fossil energy, renewable energy, the Clean Air Act and air emissions, and the oversight of multiple federal agencies.

Allison began her career with the Senate Judiciary Committee under Ranking Member Jeff Sessions (R-AL) in 2009 and then in 2011 moved over to the House Energy and Commerce Committee under Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI). She served as Chairman Whitfield’s lead policy advisor during this time and collaborated with the Chairman and Subcommittee to shape the energy policy agenda, and provided policy and strategy recommendations on all legislative actions. Additionally, Allison was responsible for monitoring local district energy issues, as well as legislative issues before the Natural Resources Committee, Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, and Appropriations Committee, as it pertained to energy. Allison also helped draft and advance several pieces of legislation through the Committee and the House Floor.

An Alabama native, Allison resides in Old Town Alexandria with her husband Evan.
